Mr. Muhammad Shehzad Arbab
MUHAMMAD SHEHZAD ARBAB
Mr. Muhammad Shehzad Arbab has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of States and Frontier Regions, Government of Pakistan in March 2016.
He had joined the Civil Service in 1981 and initially served in the Government of NWFP (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on various positions as Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Political Agent, Deputy Commissioner, Political Agent and Commissioner of Malakand Division.
From 1995 till 1999 he remained posted as Commercial Counsellor in the Embassy of Pakistan at Bonn, Germany.
From 2001 to 2008 he served as Secretary Education, Secretary Irrigation, Secretary Establishment, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa NWFP, Chief Executive FATA Development Authority and Additional Chief Secretary FATA.
He has also served as Additional Secretary, President Secretariat, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad from January 2009 till May 2010.
In 2010 he was posted as Chief Secretary, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and served in that capacity for about three years.
He served as Secretary, Economic Affairs Division, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad. He remained posted as Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from June 2013 till April 2014 when he was appointed as Secretary Commerce, Government of Pakistan Islamabad.
He holds a Degree from Khyber Law College, University of Peshawar, Peshawar and a Post Graduate Diploma from University of Cambridge, UK.
He is married with two sons and one daughter.
