Mr. Zafar Hasan carries diverse work experience of over thirty-four years in the Government and development sector and has been part of many consultancies in Pakistan and abroad. He has worked at various key assignments in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, erstwhile FATA as well as Consul General at Shanghai, China. He has served as Federal Secretary in the Ministries of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Chief Statistician, Communications & Postal Services, National Heritage & Culture, National Food Security & Research before being assigned States & Frontier Regions Division.
Mr. Hasan has remained on the Board of several organizations such as the vice-chairman of the Saudi-Pak Investment Company, chairman of the Postal Life Insurance Company, Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan, to mention a few.
He got his early schooling from Aitchison College, Lahore, thereafter, an MBA in Banking & Finance, MSc in Economics from London School of Economics and MPP in Public Finance from Duke University.
